ARRESTED: Man in custody for allegedly shoving woman, 63, onto subway tracks © Provided by WINS Radio New York NEW YORK (1010 WINS) A 22-year-old man has been arrested for randomly shoving a 63-year-old woman onto the tracks at a Brooklyn subway station on Tuesday, the NYPD said Thursday. The woman was standing on the Queens-bound J train platform at Broadway Junction around 1:30 p.m. when the man pushed her onto the tracks, police said. The woman suffered a cut to her leg, the NYPD said. She was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in stable condition, according to police. The man, whose name wasn t immediately released, faces charges including assault and reckless endangerment, the NYPD said.

The victim, who is in her 60s, was waiting for a Queens-bound J train at the Broadway Junction stop in Cypress Hills at about 1:30 p.m. when the man pushed her, cops said. She fell onto the track bed, cutting her leg, and a group of fellow commuters helped pull her back onto the platform, police said.
