Suspected militant hideout cordoned off in Narayanganj United News of Bangladesh (UNB) Bangladesh, July 12 Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP s) Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit on Sunday night cordoned off a suspected militant den in Narayanganj s Araihazar. Police suspect that Neo JMB men have stored bombs and bomb-making materials in the house - located in Araihazar s Noagaon Miabari. CTTC found out about the house after arresting the imam of a Noagaon mosque, Abdullah Al Mamun, in the evening for his alleged involvement in militancy. During primary interrogation, Mamun admitted that he is an active member of Neo JMB, CTTC Bomb Disposal Unit s Additional Deputy Commissioner AKM Rahmatullah said.

Man charged after explosives located at east Regina Superstore: RPS

  REGINA A man is facing charges after police located explosives at an east Regina Superstore during an investigation on Friday. Police responded to the store in the 2000 block of Prince of Wales Drive around 10:50 a.m., after a report of a possible explosive device. The Regina Police Service (RPS) and RCMP Explosives Disposal Unit (EDU) confirmed items dangerous to the public were present inside the store and in a vehicle in the parking lot. Police closed a portion of Victoria Avenue East while EDU members worked to make the vehicle safe. Another team went inside the store and removed an item, which was taken to a secure location to be destroyed.

Simphiwe Twanya, 43, appeared in the magistrate s court in Gqeberha on Wednesday Hawks captain Yolsa Mqolodela said.  “It is alleged that on July 2 at about 5:25am, three security guards were at a service station in Cleary Park Estate to load cash into automatic teller machines (ATM) when they were accosted by a group of unknown armed suspects,” Mgolodela said.
