When the prescription medicines and physical therapy didn’t work, a workers compensation doctor recommended she use medical marijuana to avoid using a wheelchair.  She describes the drug as her miracle.  The second time the Space Coast Junior and Senior High teacher fell at work – a student pushed her in the hallway during the pandemic – she disclosed under her workers’ compensation plan that she used medical cannabis for pain management.

Martin, said the package contained 65 pounds of cocaine and valued at over $1.5 million. Earlier in the year Federal Officers discovered 294 plastic-wrapped bricks of cocaine during a routine X-ray inspection of a U.S. Virgin Islands charter flight that landed at Opa-locka Executive Airport. The total haul was 328 kilos, as 6 individuals were arrested. “The bricks were inside several duffle bags and suitcases belonging to the only passengers on the private plane,” according to Homeland Security Investigations.

woman celebrates, gives sage advice BY DAYTONA TIMES STAFF Marjorie Violet Graham of Palm Coast celebrated her 100th birthday last weekend with two celebrations – one in Palm Coast and another in St. Augustine. She also shared nuggets of wisdom, including advice on staying healthy and happy, including this one: “Stay happy. Don’t be upset for too long. Life is short.’’ A birthday party was held for her on July 21 at Good’s Sam’s Assisted Living Residence in Palm Coast, where she resides. About 40 family members and friends helped her to celebrate. On Sunday, she attended service at her church at Christ the King Anglican Church in St. Augustine. A birthday fellowship was held in her honor after the service.
