Jack Fire in Douglas County grows to 1,500 acres
The Jack Fire is located near Steamboat, about 30 miles east of Glide along Diamond Lake Highway.

STEAMBOAT, Ore.
UPDATE: The Jack Fire is now reported to be 1,500 as of Tuesday evening in eastern Douglas County. Fire officials said an inversion slowed fire activity during the day, but when it lifted around 3 p.m., flames began to spread fast. Firefighters were told to disengage from directly creating lines on the fire and are now working to make a large containment line. Containment on the Jack Fire is 0%.
