Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign
Affairs Pham Binh Minh and Cambodian Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs
and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn on December 22 co-chaired the 18th meeting of the Vietnam-Cambodia Joint Commission for Economic, Cultural,
Scientific and Technological Cooperation held via video conference.
The
two officials were glad to report that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the
comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia has been continuing to
flourish, as mutual trust was increasingly consolidated via phone talks,

Hanoi (VNA) –
Vietnam and Cambodia on December 22 exchanged the documents ratifying the
“Supplementary Treaty to the 1985 Treaty on the Delimitation of National
Boundaries and the 2005 Supplementary Treaty”, also known as the 2019
Supplementary Treaty, and the protocol on land border demarcation and marker
planting.
The event, held via videoconference, was
co-chaired by Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs

Pekka Haavisto expressed their delight at the positive development of relations
between the two nations during their phone talks on December 22.
Haavisto congratulated Vietnam on its successful
containment of COVID-19 and voiced his belief that both sides will overcome
negative impacts of the pandemic to foster bilateral ties more strongly in the
time to come.
The two officials agreed that Vietnam and
Finland will resume mutual visits as soon as conditions allow while still
maintaining bilateral cooperation mechanisms.
Minh and Haavisto also discussed measures to
Tran Thanh Man on December 18 extended his Christmas
greetings to Catholics and Protestants across the country.
In his letter, the VFF leader lauded contributions by
Protestants
to the country’s completion of the dual goals of containing the COVID-19
pandemic and maintaining economic development and ensuring social order and
safety, helping to raise the country’s position in the region and the world.
Vietnam has fulfilled its ASEAN Chairmanship, the Presidency of the ASEAN
Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) and the non-permanent membership of the United
