No fewer than 2,000 people across 20 local governments in Oyo State have benefitted from the empowerment programme organised by Sen. Teslim Folarin (APC-Oyo Central).
The beneficiaries, who stormed Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts in Ibadan on Friday, went home with different equipment and items.
The empowerment programme attracted prominent lawmakers, APC leaders and stakeholders across the state.
The beneficiaries, drawn from the 11 local governments in Oyo Central and nine local governments in Oyo South, went home with cars, motorcycles and generators.
Others went home with gas cylinders, laptops, gas cookers, wheelchairs, deep freezers, grinding machines, crutches, farm spray, cash, while some students got bursary awards.

He added that the initiative was part of an effort to promote a comprehensive health system and ensured civil servants attained better mental health which underscores the high premium the present administration places on the wellbeing of its workforce in line with its THEMES Agenda, particularly at this present time when everyone was grappling with a global health crisis of Covid-19 Pandemic.
