Oh, Louie.
Rep. Louie Gohmert posited what one might call an interesting idea in a House Natural Resources Committee hearing on Tuesday, asking if the U.S. government could
alter the path of Earth’s orbit around the sun to mitigate the effects of climate change.
The Texas Republican congressman figured the United States Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management could manage, asking Jennifer Eberlein, the associate deputy chief of the Forest Service, if they could figure out how to overcome the effects of ever-present effects of gravity and physics to fit the whims of humanity.
