Dubois will play for 3rd place trophy Friday afternoon

(Casper, WY) – After a big quarterfinal win Wednesday afternoon against the Kaycee Buckaroos, the Dubois Rams came up short in the semi-finals against 1A’s top seeded team, Upton. The Bobcats took care of the Rams 73-31, leading from the early stages of the game and forcing a running clock late in the 4th quarter. Advertisement Dubois has one game left on their season and will have an opportunity to win a third place trophy at state basketball. The Rams face Southeast at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday from the Ford Wyoming Center. Upton faces Saratoga in the 1A boys championship game, while the Upton girls take on Cokeville. 2A state basketball begins Friday in Casper.

The Wyoming high school state wrestling tournament is here. The event begins in Casper on Thursday, Feb. 25 with 2A. Following with 3A on Friday, Feb. 26, and 4A on Feb. 27. The tournament will be held at the Ford Wyoming Center.

According to a release issued on Thursday, the name change is part of a branding deal with Wyoming Ford dealerships. “We’re happy to be aligned with Your Local Ford Stores here in Wyoming. We’re excited about the commitment they are showing towards our community and appreciate their partnership,” said Spectra’s Brad Murphy, General Manager of the Ford Wyoming Center in the release. “We’re creating a great fan experience in Casper and we’re fortunate to partner with Ford to further enhance the customer experience.”
