Police are probing the incident which happened in Littlehampton Road, Worthing, near Sainsbury’s. They were called over the incident at 9.45am on February 2, and say a passenger in the Ford Transit style van hada black handgun and imitated shooting the man as he walked west. Police say the victim was left feeling “shaken and distressed” by the incident. Officers want anyone who saw the incident near the junctions with Northfield Road and Chantry Road, or who may have seen the vehicle in the area, to come forward. Any motorists in the area with dashcam footage are also asked to come forward.
