GIRARD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – An electrical short in a classic 1956 Ford Fairlane stored in a small garage and shed at 1193 Marshall has been determined by Coldwater fire investigators as the cause of a Monday morning which destroyed the structure and the vehicle inside. The fire was reported at 10:23 a.m. in the midst of extremely busy morning for police and firefighters in Branch County which included a fatal crash and two other injury accidents. Damages were estimated at $25,000. No injuries were reported. Smoke from the fire could be seen by firefighters as they raced to the scene.
