(WALB) - One man is behind bars and another is dead after a shooting Sunday, according to the Americus Polie Department. It happened around 1 a.m. Police and medical personnel were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of South Dudley in reference to a gunshot victim. When they arrived, police said Marcus Laster, 26, had been shot in the upper body. Laster was taken to Phoebe Sumter Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
