Ray Rogowski - Advertisement - Rogowski retired about two years ago, after working 22 years as the city of Willoughby s finance director. Under his direction, the city s Finance Department was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. Rogowski also served as president of the Ohio Association of Public Treasurers and the Municipal Finance Officers Association.

Fairport Harbor chalks up significant accomplishments in 2020 in midst of novel coronavirus pandemic

No injuries reported in Fairport Harbor house fire

No injuries were reported in a Dec. 13 house fire in Fairport Harbor, according to the village’s fire department. The Fairport Harbor Fire Department received a call at 5:55 p.m. for a reported house fire at 528 Plum St., according to a news release from the department. Upon arriving at 6 p.m., there was heavy smoke coming from the second floor. The fire was contained to a second-floor, although there was extensive smoke and heat damage to the second floor making the home uninhabitable, the news release stated. - Advertisement - The fire was under control at 6:46 p.m. The occupants of the home had evacuated prior to the department’s arrival, according to the release.
