Crash shuts Mancunian Way with one person in hospital
The collision happened eastbound at the junctions of Fairfield Street and Pin Mill Brow
A serious collision shut the Mancunian Way in both directions tonight.
The incident, at 4.45pm, led to queues on all approaches to the busy flyover.
The collision is said to have happened eastbound at the junctions of Fairfield Street and Pin Mill Brow, which leads onto and off the Mancunian Way.
There was a heavy emergency services presence after the crash.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said one person had been taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for GMFRS said: At approximately 4.45pm on Thursday, 22 April, firefighters were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Fairfield Street, in Manchester.
