The Fiji Revenue and Customs Services (FRCS) acting chief executive officer, Jonetani Vuto has resigned effective from tomorrow, September 17, 2021. Mr Vuto’s imminent departure had been revealed in Fiji.

The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS), has announced the Director Border Jonetani Vuto to lead the tax office as the interim chief executive officer.
The board made the announcement today stating Mr Vuto had been with FRCS for past 31 years.
He was stated to bring a wealth of experience in terms on technical and strategic guidance which was required by tax office.
The FRCS Board stated Mr Vuto’s familiarity with the Tax Office and his range of experience would further strengthen the management and leadership of FRCS as he had worked in all divisions including Compliance, Revenue, Border and Policy.

The acting CEO of the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS), Fane Vave, has resigned. She announced to staff members yesterday that December 31, 2020 would be her last day at work.
She said in a circular she was supposed to leave FRCS on December 1, 2020 but stayed on at the request of the FRCS Board.
“I have always done my best to be transparent and accountable in my tenure with FRCS and, more recently, as your acting CEO for the past 9 months,” Ms Vave wrote.
“I understand that this may come as a surprise for some officers but be rest assured that my decision to resign was made after long and careful consideration and reflection.”
