Norfolk is blessed with a multitude of stunning gardens for the public to visit.
Here are a selection of the best as we head into the summer months.

Houghton Hall
Houghton s five-acre Walled Garden is perhaps the jewel in its crown.
The old kitchen garden was commissioned by Lord Cholmondeley to be redesigned in 1991 as a memorial to his grandmother, Lady Sybil Cholmondeley.

The ornate doors of East Anglia s stately homes are about to be thrown open to visitors once again.
Attractions such as Blickling, Felbrigg and Oxburgh halls, Horsey Windpump and sites in Suffolk such as Ickworth and Sutton Hoo will allow indoor visitors again from May 17.
Russell Clement, general manager at Oxburgh Hall, near Swaffham, said: Our teams have been busy over the last few weeks making final preparations and getting ready to re-open our doors again. It’s going to be wonderful to be able to welcome visitors back inside and we look forward to your visit.
Does the stone cross south of the village of Aylmerton hide a secret tunnel?

This medieval wayside cross has marked the pilgrimage route to Little Walsingham for centuries – but could it also hide a network of tunnels and treasure? The Gresham or Aylmerton Cross is on the parish boundary between the two villages that it takes its name from and also meets an old track called Mill Lane, the pilgrim path to the Walsingham shrines.
At the base of the tall cross is a niche where it is believed that votive offerings were left and the structure we see today is not that which used to greet worshippers. The original cross shattered and only a stump was left, but it was restored in the 19
The National Trust has ordered all of its volunteers to undergo diversity training as the organisation continues its woke rebrand.
The heritage body is forcing everyone, including rangers who do not work with the public, to carry out the training as they return to work from lockdown.
It has already caused friction among volunteers and led to several resignations, with one slamming the Trust s new political agenda .
