With a decade of working for Taylor Swift in Nashville, Jimmy Chapin decided to take some time off at the beach with the megastar’s company sold. His father, Jimmy Chapin, Sr., was already in the Destin area, contemplating purchasing a rental company. The international marketing director of Big Machine Label Group, young Jimmy managed marketing for Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Florida Georgia Line, The Band Perry and more for the label. He also owned a small hospitality company that focused on Nashville’s large tourism market. So, as Jimmy hoped to take a few days of downtime and soak up some rays on the beach, his father actually asked him to help get a new business off the ground.

Dude is a dog that does not look like he would be called Dude. Not too many generations removed from his wolf ancestry, the menacing-looking canine looks like he could have come straight from “White Fang.”
But he doesn’t act that way.
I moved down the street from Dude a few years ago, and as I was unpacking boxes, my mother said, “There is a wolf in your front yard.” That was the last thing I expected in my new civilized neighborhood, but I grabbed my dogs’ collars and peered out the window at a thick-necked, shaggy-haired mammal that was lurching around the rhododendron.
