A dog who had her face partially ripped off by Chinese meat traders is set to get a life-changing facial reconstruction surgery after her Instagram fans raised funds.
The Belgian shepherd named Angel was rescued from death when activists managed to seize a truckload of dogs bound for a slaughterhouse in Changchun, China, back in 2015. The rescuers said that Angel s facial injuries were from the tools dog catchers use to get hold of pets and drag them off.
