A Cornish girls’ school is ensuring students are prepared for life with a new scheme that sees them handed a business loan and put in charge of their own commercial enterprise. Truro High School for Girls is launching the project this term alongside a brand-new programme for Aspiring Entrepreneurs, as part of its commitment to providing students with skills for life. Headmistress, Sarah Matthews said: We know parents want their children to achieve the very best results that they can and that is very important to us but, a good school is about more than just incredible academics.

MetroWest Subaru to be honored with Corporate Partner of the Year Award at NSC Annual Meeting
MetroWest Subaru will be presented with Natick Service Council’s Corporate Partner of the Year Award at the 2021 Annual Meeting at 7 p.m. May 19. The meeting will be held via Zoom. MetroWest Subaru has not only been a leader in the Natick community, but has also been a stalwart of support for the Natick Service Council. In addition to financial support, their employees are committed to giving back with their time and energy.
In 2019, NSC was lucky enough to be chosen as the charity for MetroWest Subaru’s Share the Love event. With every new Subaru purchased or leased, Subaru donated $250 to NSC. In addition, MetroWest Subaru donated an additional $50 to Natick Service Council for each sold or leased vehicle. Through this program, over $57,000 was raised and donated to NSC! And we are thrilled to share that NSC will be the MetroWest Subaru Share the Love charity for 2021!

The foundation’s grant is the largest of the 14 grants distributed to Cape and Islands organizations. Those represent nearly one-quarter of the 59 grants and about 19% of the more than $1.58 million in funding available through the newly created Travel and Tourism Recovery Grant Pilot Program.
