A FURTHER step in securing the future of an important community building has been made. It comes as the Falcon Centre Action Group, Wylam, adopted its first formal constitution and elected officers and a committee also for the first time. The group hope to develop plans that would see the building become a community hub for residents. Funding to aid the scheme can now be applied for as a constitution and committee have been formed. The group may progress towards charity status in the future. Elected chair Steve Grinter said of the meeting: It was good to see a good turnout for an inaugural, online meeting that obviously lacked the immediacy of a face-to face gathering. And we know there are lots more residents out there who are keen on what we are doing from the survey we did late last year.
