In his return to net, Brennan Boynton, gave up four goals in the first two period and was pulled for Andrew Miller. Cody Mound scored the only Force goal. Steel can take home the Cup with a win on Saturday night.

The Steel struck first in period one with a powerplay goal midway through the first period. Then with under a minute remaining in the period the Steel found the back of the net once again taking a lead they would maintain throughout the remainder of the game. Chicago tallied 5 more unanswered goals throughout the second and third periods putting on an offensive and defensive clinic. The Force will look too rally back tomorrow night as tomorrow night is a must win for Fargo to keep their Clark Cup hopes alive.

Despite 23 saves from Chicago netminder Simon Latkoczy, the Steel were held off the scoreboard as the loss snapped a 12-game Steel win streak dating back to the regular season.
