The arrays will generate the majority of the brewery s energy, which is enough to brew and bottle 6 million cases of beer annually. REC Solar and Duke Energy Renewables have been solid partners throughout this process. They helped us unlock our vision for beer brewed with sunshine, and methodically executed the complex entitlements, engineering and installation of the array. The arrays will generate the majority of the brewery’s energy, which is enough to brew and bottle 6 million cases of beer annually. REC Solar and Duke Energy Renewables partnered with the brewery on the renewable energy project. The on-site solar, single-axis trackers and carports were made possible through the collaboration of two Duke Energy subsidiaries. REC Solar designed and built the solar project, and Duke Energy Renewables provided Firestone Walker financing through a 25-year power purchase agreement.

Brewed in Venice, California at the brewery’s Propagator Pilot Brewhouse, Wookey Jack is a Black Rye IPA that has earned a Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival on three occasions, most recently this past year in 2020. Part of the Propagator Series, Wookey Jack returns and remains true to the beer’s mantra: “Gnarly on the outside yet refined on the inside.” This latest batch of Wookey Jack uses the original recipe that includes loads of dark malts with rye adding a spicy grain element. The hops are dank, sticky Citra and pungent Amarillo, both of which are incorporated into a massive dry-hop regimen.
