Facebook reached an agreement with Australian News Corp under a new bill that makes social media companies pay local news outlets for their content.
The deal comes nearly a month after the Australian parliament approved a law that would allow a government judge to determine the price a digital company should pay news outlets if the two sides failed to reach an agreement.
News Corp Chief Executive Robert Thompson said the agreement “is a milestone in changing the terms of trade for the press, and will have a material and meaningful impact on our Australian news business.”

Eight people have been killed in three separated shooting accidents in Georgia, US media reports confirmed on Wednesday.
The earliest attack started around 5 pm at a small Asian massage salon in a rural area north Atlanta, Georgia. The shooting left four killed, two of them died immediately at the scene of the accident, while the other two died in the hospital.

Mohamed El-Masry, First Vice President of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) said that the federation seeks to develop economic relations with Guinea in line with the growing level of relations between the political leaderships of the two countries.
This came during a meeting on Wednesday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guinea Conakry Ibrahima Kaba.

In a speech delivered, on behalf of Ibrahim El-Arabi, President of the FEDCOC, El-Masry added that the meeting with the Guinean delegation comes after the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) came into force.
