Woman's body found in Hellevoetsluis; 20-year-old man arrested

A body was found in Hellevoetsluis in Zuid-Holland on Thursday afternoon by the Parallelweg in the park of Ravense Hout, police report. The victim was identified as a 59-year-old woman from Brielle. A 20-year-old Hellevoetsluis man was arrested for a possible connection to the deceased woman. The police started an investigation straight after the body was found. A search was started with the use of a helicopter after information had come in that somebody may have been seen walking away from the area where the body was found.

Woman found naked and injured after assault in Terneuzen; man shot in Rotterdam

A 35-year-old woman from Schoondijke, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, was found naked and injured in Terneuzen on Saturday morning. A 39-year-old man from Graauw was arrested for assaulting her. The man was also accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

The optimal performance of the Lelylijn railway line would shorten the travel time from Groningen to Amsterdam-Zuid to 68 minutes. The project organization of the Lelylijn reported this based on research results from three possible trajectories. The train would go from Amsterdam to Groningen and back, with stops in Lelystad, Emmeloord, Heerenveen, and Drachten.
