An audacious Joburg filmed motion-picture about the struggles local actors went through during the stringent Covid-19 lockdown has received a nod to premiere at the 50th International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR).
Directed and produced by Charlie Vundla, an acclaimed auteur, Hotele Lerallaneng features spellbinding scenes from a beautiful hotel perched atop the Melville Koppies, north-western Johannesburg.
Set in the unprecedented season of lockdowns and laziness, Hotele Lerallaneng pieces together the most authentic expressions and experiences of the deepest feelings and uncertainties associated with the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Lion King producer and composer Lebo M has called it quits with his on-again, off-again partner Angela Ngani-Casara after a third attempt.
The couple’s latest attempt to rekindle their romance and family was documented on Showmax in 10-part reality show
Lebo M – Coming Home.
On Friday afternoon, Lebo M, real name Lebo Morake, and Ngani-Casara announced in a joint statement that they have decided to go their separate ways – again.
“We had hoped that the third attempt would have been the final one in both our lives,” read their statement in part.

The internationally-acclaimed composer and producer and his wife Angela Ngani-Casara have broken up for the third time.
The news of their separation has been confirmed by the couple’s spokesman Neo Motlhala.
Neo said both Lebo M and Angela have requested privacy as they try to heal and navigate the new chapters of their lives.
In a joint statement, the couple said they tried but they failed to connect.
“We had hoped that the third attempt would have been the final one in both our lives,” read the statement.
