The All-Big 12 baseball squad was announced on Monday, highlighted by the inclusion of Kansas State left-handed starting pitcher Jordan Wicks on the first team. Wicks was the preseason Big 12 pitcher of the year and posted a 6-3 record with a 3.32 ERA in 14 starts. Joining him on the all-conference list were second-team selections Zach Kokoska and Dylan Phillips, and honorable mention designees Chris Ceballos, Tyler Eckberg and Cameron Thompson. Nick Goodwin was named to the All-Freshman Team.

TCU got on the board first, plating a run in the second inning. But K-State answered immediately, Cameron Thompson scoring on a Kamron Willman single in the bottom of the inning. Two innings later the BatCats took the lead for good as Thompson and Terrence Spurlin smashed back-to-back homers. TCU got one back in the fifth but the Cats again responded when Caleb Littlejim knocked in Zach Kokoska on a single and an error.
And for the offenses, that was that. TCU got 3

The field at the Jim Click invitational is nothing to sneeze at. Indeed, the top five finishers in the women’s heptathlon posted scores that would leave them all within the top eight nationally at day’s end.
The top of that list: Kansas State senior Lauren Taubert, who set a personal best with 5,831 points to claim the victory on Friday. Taubert’s performance places her atop the NCAA competition list, and was 38 points better than her performance in the 2019 NCAA Championships.
Ariel Okorie, with 5,474 points, was the aforementioned fifth-place finisher and now sits eighth in Division I on the season.
