The departure of European retail chains should not be viewed as a loss, but rather as a vacated niche for Belarusian woodworking and furniture manufacturers, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Nazarov told journalists during his visit to the Gomeldrev woodworking and furniture company.
Belarusian woodworking companies and furniture producers have enough reserves to make up for the loss of European markets and to increase their presence on the domestic and foreign markets.
It was noted that so far this year the Industry Ministry has ensured the achievement of all the key performance indicators the head of state and the government assigned to the manufacturing sector. Tasks concerning future development of the country's industrial potential are successfully being fulfilled.
“ The sanctions we are being choked with made our lives even more complicated. However, every one of you makes individual decisions because there is no recipe that fits all. We have one goal as the president said: undress and work,” the official noted.
