To develop one of the largest untapped oil and gas fields in uk waters. Rosebank which is about 80 miles west of shetland is one of the largest untapped discoveries in the region. Experts say it contains up to 350 Million Barrels of oil. Production could start in 2026 with extraction continuing until at least 2030. Its thought that around 69,000 barrels of oil could be produced every day. That would equate to around 8 of the uks total output. And there would also be natural gas with around 44 million cubic feet of it produced per day during the projects lifetime. The Energy Secretary Clare Coutinho said, we need oil and gas on the path to net zero so it makes sense to use our own supplies from north sea fields. The jobs and billions of pounds this is worth to our economy will enable us to have Greater Energy independence. But there has already been criticism. The Environmental Group greenpeace says, relying on fossilfuels is terrible for our Energy Security, the cost of living, and the

The reason was to get preferential treatment for loans to impress insurers, to impress banks, to further the cause of his business in the Property Sphere in new york. The net result of this, at this stage, and this m

And is thought to contain 500 Million Barrels of oil, which makes it the uks largest untapped oil field. The plan has faced widespread criticism. Last month, 50 mps and peers from all major parties raised concerns the oilfield could produce 200 Million Tonnes of carbon dioxide. So, the oil and gas that we get out of rosebank, it will be mostly oil because that is mostly what is left in the north sea. That wont be owned by the British Public or the government, it will be owned by the company that gets it out of the ground, the oil and Gas Companies, and they will simply sell it to the highest bidder. So there is no guarantee that that oil and gas will end up in the uk, so theres no guarantee that it will help to lower our bills. Therefore, there is going to be a lot of people cold and poorer this winter, wondering why we are having tax rates and subsidies out to oil and Gas Companies when they cant afford the gas bills.
