Lagos partners EbonyLife, Del-York to train filmmakers

The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has entered into a collaboration with two creative firms, EbonyLife Media and Del-York Creative Academy, to empower thousands of filmmakers.
The ministry has officially launched the Lagos State Creative Industries Initiative which will serve as a training platform for practitioners in the creative sector on the use of modern technology, to enhance the content and quality of entertainment in the country.
At least 1,500 practitioners are set to benefit from the partnership which aims to enhance their skills and exposure.

The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture on Friday officially launched the Lagos State Creative Industries Initiative (LACI) aimed at empowering 1500 filmmakers and creatives with free skills training.
As part of its strategy to fast-track the initiative, the state is partnering with two creative firms, EbonyLife Media and Del-York Creative Academy, to enhance the skills and exposure of approximately 1,500 practitioners in the State’s creative industry.
In 2021, EbonyLife Creative Academy will offer free, practical three-month courses for up to 480 learners, covering all aspects of filmmaking and media content production.
Creative Lagos is a
Del-York Creative Academy initiative, powered by Lagos State Government through the Office of Ministry of Tourism, as a public-private partnership to upskill & build capacity for the Creative Industry in Lagos State.
The Initiative of Del-York and the Lagos State Creative Industry Initiative (LACI) is powered by the Lagos State Government and the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture will provide an all-round, re-skill program that will effectively equip and re-value the Lagos State workforce as a short to long-term campaign to grow creative industries for Lagos State, acting as the nucleus for Africa’s Creativity and Entertainment.
