Dont be fooled by the fact it is no longer a hurricane and moving down to Tropical Storm. That has absolutely nothing to do with how big of an impact that storm is going to have on us. We all knew all along it would not be a tropical system by the time it got this far north because the water over the ocean is so much colder this time of the year. That is causing the weakening. It is still going to be one heck of a storm as it gets into our area. Temperatures early on your saturday morning mild and kind of clammy outside. Temperatures upper 50s and low 60s. No rain showing up. If you have things to do outside this weekend, preparations for the storm, today will be a good day to do it. No rain around here. There are rain showers back out to the west. That is part of the cold front interacting with the Tropical Storm as it comes
Live. Good to see you. How is it going . Really well. The bulls are in charge today, fredricka, bouncing back from the biggest twoday drop of the year on wednesday and thursday. The strength is because of positive sentiment related to hewlettpackards results last night. They werent great but they werent as bad as expectations. Hp shares are up 12 and its the biggest gainer on the dow by far. Traders refer to this, though, as sort of a dead cat bounce and thats when stocks have fallen so much over a short period they have nowhere to go but up. So that doesnt necessarily mean that this rally will last until next week. The market is up 115 points as we get the closing bell. We have a busy week next week. Home sales, Consumer Confidence and Fourth Quarter gdp comes out next week. Ending the week on a high note, gives us a nice impetus and encouragement for next week.
