Vicky and I attended the Gillespie Infants School at first but later moved to Holloway where they attended Yerbury Primary School. I went on to Highbury Hill and Vicki to Parliament Hill.
Mary loved Islington and took the kids every weekend to Chapel Market, where she knew everyone. She would also take us to the fair on Hampstead Heath, to ride the donkeys on White stone pond and to feed the deer in Golders hill park.
She loved taking us to sit outside The Holly Bush pub, The Flask, and The Spaniards inn, in particular, to see the birds in the aviary.

Food delivery giant Ocado wants to open a delivery hub on the Bush Industrial Estate site

Ocado is taking Islington Council to the High Court to overturn the block on its bid to open a round-the-clock delivery hub next to a school in Tufnell Park.
The food delivery giant applied to open a delivery hub on the Bush Industrial Estate site, bordering Yerbury Primary School, in 2019.
The site s owner Telereal Trillium was granted a lawful development certificate by the council in 2017, allowing storage and distribution.
But it was revoked in October last year after campaign group NOcado submitted evidence which they claim demonstrates the site had not been used for storage and distribution since 1992.
