The state institutions are on the alert after finding out the vulnerability of the Parliament in the face of cyber attacks, attacks which, at the beginning of this week, managed to break the databases of the Chamber of Deputies and copy 316 files, among which were personal data of parliamentarians, including contracts or medical records.
Cuba delayed the implementation of the increase in gasoline prices after a cyberattack. On Wednesday, Economy Vice Minister Mildrey Granadillo announced that Cuba postponed an unpopular five-fold increase in fuel prices planned for February 1 due to a foreign cyberattack.
China hackers proved to have compromised software updates for Tencent and WPS Office with spyware. Legitimate software updates has reportedly been compromised by China hackers by implanting spyware in major applications against companies and users from the United Kingdom, Japan, and China since 2018.
