SS Cole Peterson really helped set the table with three doubles, and he scored three times. Zack Short, Derek Hill each doubled as well and were on base three times apiece. Yariel Gonzalez’s solo shot in the fourth inning was the game’s only home run.

May 24, 2021 | 7:00 AM GRAND CHUTE, WI –  The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers had a few opportunities against the West Michigan Whitecaps on Sunday afternoon at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium.  However, the Whitecaps held Wisconsin off the scoreboard and plated three late insurance runs on their way to a 4-0 win in the game and a series victory as well. West Michigan (8-9) took the lead in the top of the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly by José King. That was the only run allowed by Wisconsin starting pitcher Justin Jarvis.  The right-hander scattered five hits and walked one while striking out four

After scoring eight runs in the opener, they went one better on Wednesday night to make it 2-0 on the year. Veteran right-hander Drew Hutchison got the start, and he quickly took a little damage, giving up a two run double to the Sounds’ Zach Green. The Hens struck right back in the bottom of the second though. Derek Hill cracked a three-run shot with Christin Stewart and Dustin Garneau aboard, and then the Hens proceeded to score again in the third and fourth frames to take a 6-3 lead into the late innings.
