Pierre, SD, USA / DRGNews Jan 29, 2021 9:00 PM YANKTON – Pierre Governor girls basketball picked up its offense late in the first quarter Friday and breezed to a 51-22 win over the Yankton Gazelles at the Summit Center. Leading just 6-4 late in the opening period, Pierre (6-6) then scored the next 13 points and built a 28-9 halftime lead. Layni Stevens and Caytee Williams led the Governors with 10 points each.  Remington Price, Ayvrie Kaiser and Ryann Berry each scored seven.
