I-82 has been partially closed since Feb. 12 when an embankment failure was discovered near the eastbound lanes. Westbound lanes were closed after more damage occurred and the affects spread.
WAPATO, Wash. - The Washington State Department of Transportation announced in a press release that westbound I-82 is tentatively planned to reopen by Fri., Feb. 23.
Washington Department of Transportation officials estimate westbound lanes of Interstate 82 near Wapato will reopen Friday after an embankment failure closed a section of the highway last week.
