they want to make sure they are the parents of the children. they say it s difficult to find parents who have been deported or release sbood td into the co from to be just pertaining to the children who were separated starting in may when that zero tolerance policy went into effect. but it tells us that it s not nearly as complicated as what secretary azar laid out in that senate hearing you just played. it s not a keystroke. it s dna testing. it s trying to find parents who are out of the country. that is not the plan they laid out for us when they started justifying why it would be simple to reunite these parents and families. so they either want an extended timeline or they want a narrowed scope here. it s not clear at this point what the judge will do on either request. maria, mariana atencio and others on our staff have been following this story and talking to a lot of the families that have been separated. and there s an element of confusion in all of these cases. they re separ
