HONG KONG, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) Asia-Pacific countries kept reporting more COVID-19 cases, as the Philippines recorded 766 new cases, the lowest in more than five months.
The Philippines case tally rose to 470,650, and the death toll climbed to 9,124 after 15 more patients died, the Department of Health said in a statement.
India s total tally rose to 10,207,871, as 20,021 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours, the latest data from the federal health ministry showed. The death toll mounted to 147,901 with 279 more deaths.
There are still 277,301 active cases in the country, while 9,782,669 people have been discharged from hospitals after medical treatment.
