FOX 2 - Last July, Xavier DeGroat helped spearhead a massive change in the way people with autism are treated when pulled over by police. So when police pull them over appropriately when you get arrested or get approached of any sort, the police know how to handle and be trained to handle people with autism, said DeGroat.

Xavier DeGroat has long advocated for policy changes to help people with autism and that work ultimately landed him an internship at the White House.
The Michigan resident, CEO and founder of the Xavier DeGroat Autism Foundation, recently completed a White House internship and believes he is the first person with autism to participate in the program.
