As I write this column on April 13, the exact date of the Dietrich Theater’s 20th Anniversary of its reopening, I decided to contact a few friends of the Dietrich and asked if they could help me write about its impact over the last 20 years.
The comments that they texted, related, or emailed make the 20 years of hard work and dedication so worth it. We are humbled by the comments that came flooding in.
In Attica, the summer reading program will continue to introduce patrons to different genres of the arts.
And the Silver Lake Institute is planning a summer arts program that includes coffee house-style music and speaker programs.
Arts programming is returning to Wyoming County this summer as the region adjusts âand some hope âresumes activities safely while the pandemic continue.
The programs are being made possible by community arts grants from the Arts Council for Wyoming County.
The funds, in the form of decentralization grants, is money awarded from the New York State Council on the Arts by the local arts council to area arts and cultural organizations and artists.
WARSAW â The Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism office is calling on barn quilt square artists, crafters, and enthusiasts to share their favorite barn quilt squares for an upcoming public art display this summer.
The Wyoming County Barn Quilt art installation plans to showcase the unique artistry, heritage, and history of barn quilt squares and their prominence throughout the county.
âWyoming Countyâs Barn Quilt Trail has become a popular attraction and a great way to showcase both the art-form itself and the heritage of agriculture in the County,â said Chamber President Scott Gardner. âThis barn quilt installation will be a focused way to display the squares and invite visitors to view a selection of barn quilts in a single location, learn more, and then plan a visit to view the many around the county.â
