East Norriton Police arrived at the home to find joanna unresponsive. She was shot in the head. Neither she nor her unborn baby could be saved. At first detectives determined miller was negligent but not criminally liable in his handling of the firearm but in a news release today the Montgomery County d. A. s office says after a lengthy investigation miller is now in fact charged with involuntary manslaughter. Part of it reads forensic and ballistic tests conducted over the last two years showed that the victim was shot at a close range. It goes on stating the investigation also revealed that miller as a state Police Trooper hm standard knowledge of basic and mandatory procedures of gun safety and handling.
