After a woman decided to manually turn off her car’s check engine light to avoid having to repair the malfunction, she and her friends ended up in the ER six months later due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
Elf Louise Christmas Project.
As the radiothon wrapped up on December 5th, just over $265,000 had been raised. Now, thanks to a donation of $35,000 from the
Wyatt Law Firm, PLLC, through the
Wyatt Law Firm Foundation, the overall total surpassed $300,000.
The one-time donation is the start of a partnership between the two nonprofits and the Wyatt Law Firm to help increase awareness of the Elf Louise Christmas Project program.
The Elf Louise Christmas Project was founded in 1969 by
Louise Locker and has been making an impact for less fortunate children throughout Bexar County for more than 50 years. Toys and gifts are hand selected, wrapped, and delivered to the family’s door by volunteers dressed in Santa suits. More than 4,500 volunteers help with the process each year and money is raised each year through a two-day radiothon on News Radio 1200 WOAI.
