we re following breaking news right now. the army sergeant held prisoner by the taliban is pleading guilty to charges of deserting his unit. you know the name. sergeant beau bergdahl was captured after walking off his post in afghanistan in 2009. five years later in a controversial move that grabbed world headlines, bergdahl was released in exchange for five high-level taliban leaders who were held at guantanamo bay. a very, very controversial decision. now, last hour, during a hearing at fort bragg, bergdahl entered his plea in front of a military judge. in addition to desertion, he s also facing misbehavior charges, which carry a maximum penalty of life in prison. there s no word if bergdahl is pleading guilty in exchange for a deal. joining us now is retired army sergeant jordan vaughn, who served in the same company with bergdahl and says he took part
