They were someone i would see on the side of the road living under a bridge panhandling on the subway and i was very wrong although addiction hits hard in those communities there are plenty of people at the top of the socioeconomic ladder struggling as well. Tell me more about your writing process and what and how you decided to go about writing the book. Sure. I think the writing process started before the book was starting to come together. In 2017 i wrote a story for the New York Times about what happened to my exhusband peter and was called the warrior of the attic, i did a lot of research for that piece, i did about a years worth of research and exploring with my family and my children and seeing if it was okay with them to go ahead and tell the world the story and figure out why we were doing it and what it meant to us in all the was largely to make some meaning out of something gutfeld arbitrary and shameful and guilty and also to try to understand what was going on with peter and understand what was going on in the Legal Profession in terms of Substance Abuse and depression and anxiety, after that came out i surprisingly had a viral life and had millions of shares and i got a lot of feedback from readers especially Young Lawyers wh
