so, you ve got to be authentic to yourself and that s why i want to give all the props to the democrats in some of these races mark kelly is very authentic to who he is. he will defy the administration, the administration [inaudible] between these two, i will side with republicans between these two. same with tim ryan. he s a man of the people. you look at someone like john fetterman and tim ryan, they are both working class democrats who appeal to that mass working class voter. those are the kinds of democrats we need to continue to run. and they also have high name i.d. and they have been elected in the state multiple times. that also is the state multiple times. but the recruitment classes pretty this year and that is certainly helping us as a boost, going into that in the midterms. but i find so far about this, as well, really quickly, is that trump is somebody who gave people like mehmet oz a playbook. he is a reality star, he is super wealthy, and he sold that aspirational
not it personally when they are prosecuted for vandalism. exactly. they are crazy. they have not gone as far to cut people. it could happen anywhere, any time. if you reading this and you own an soave. suv. scrap it before we get. a hybrid car not good enough. go to affluent neighborhoods. but they said the minor inconvenience of having your tires slashed is outweighed by what is on hand. tell that to a working class voter. we will slash your tires because we are nuts. we watched the footage of the protestors blocking the freeway. he said if i don t get to my parole hearing i will be put back in jail.
an outstanding progressive. fetterman admits he ll always vote with democrats. in this economy, that s the last thing we need. what do you think? well, i m glad it s an ad focused on issues rather than his health, for sure. i actually agree that the issue around the health in and of itself, you have probably got a lot of men out there in pennsylvania who are thinking, you know, my doctor told me i need to do x, y, and z. but in this political environment, where republicans are expected to do quite well, where the wind is in republicans sails, you do want to make sure you are positioned so that the median voter, the swing voter in the middle does not think you re too extreme. this ad really does a good job of talking about issues where fetterman is perhaps outside of where the mainstream or swing working class voter in pennsylvania is. the extent to which the health issue is going to be a problem is in an unfavorable political
the working class, the military, again, there is an officer class, and there s a working class part of it, too. so biden seems to be narrow casting a lot of what he s doing to a certain kind of working class voter, and, you know, who might be mad at him when he tries to do things that are progressive, that are really super popular with the majority of the country but he can t get passed because of people like joe manchin. i ve been covering joe biden a long time. he grew up in a neighborhood where everyone either went to become a firefighter, a cop, or a priest. as he often then delivers the punchline, i wasn t qualified to do any one of those things. one of the reasons he s had such a tight relationship with law enforcement in his career is because he relates so much to those as people he grew up with and who are working class and who what their wants and needs are, are much more complex than what we give credit for. joy, i want to offer this note,
biden to president. grateful for the update. an important update on the numbers. now with the panel, it is sometimes risky to have a national distraction of what happened to new york city but eric adams, likely the next mayor. he says crime was a big issue. he believes voters moving a little more toward the middle. the white house chief of staff happens to agree. i think that the coalition that mr. adams put together in new york is not dissimilar to the coalition president biden put together. working class voter, african-american voters overwhelmingly, and voters who want to see progress on core issues. and i think that is the coalition that got joe biden the democratic nomination in 2020. the message there, ron clain interprets that as the country and the democratic party, maybe not as far left as twitter democrats think the party is. absolutely. that is true.
