The Supreme Court on Thursday made it harder for the federal government to win court orders when it suspects a company of interfering in unionization campaigns in a case that stemmed from a labor dispute with Starbucks.
The U.S. Supreme Court sided with Starbucks in a ruling that affects how labor disputes are handled under federal law. The decision overturned a lower court's order to reinstate seven fired Memphis employees involved in unionization efforts. The case now returns to the lower court for reconsideration.
