Happened. We are expecting a briefing. The latest in about ten minutes. A lot of scared and concerned students here. There are about 2,000 students in the football stadium just right over here to my right. They are standing by waiting to see if it is safe at this point to get back into their school. Its also early dismissal, so they may just be sent home in about 45 mines or so. The key concern is for the students who were injured. Two students have life threatening injuries. They were flown here from the fields at the school into med star hospital to the burn center with, again, life threatening injuries. The three other students were taken by ambulance to innova hospital to be checked out there. Then there was the chemistry teacher who suffered burns. She stayed on the scene and wants to get the information out and wants to make sure everybody is okay. There is a blinking car, it is red under the overpass. That is the car that hit the pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to memorial hospital. Police have not told us if it was a man or woman, not released the name and in the process of notifying the persons relati relatives. That is main avenue southwest and people heading on to 395. There are a lot of people here. If you plan on taking main avenue southwest by the tidal basin, make sure you stay away because the last thing you want to do is get stuck in all this traffic.
