MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Three people are facing several domestic violence-related charges after separate incidents in Montgomery.
According to Montgomery police Capt. Saba Coleman, Victoria Smith, 52 is charged with domestic violence second-degree and second-degree assault. De’Jarvis Walker, 21 is charged with domestic violence first and third degree and burglary first degree. Connie Knox, 26, is charged with domestic first degree and assault first degree.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Montgomery police have arrested a suspect in a Monday homicide investigation.
Police responded to the 4300 block of Woodley Square around 2:30 a.m. They found a shooting victim who was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified the victim as 21-year-old Prentice Murphy.
Emmit Hardie, 22, of Montgomery, was arrested and charged with murder. Hardie is in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on $150,000 bond.
Police say the circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown.

Queneisa McReynolds, 34, and 21-year-old Prentice Murphy did not survive their injuries.
Their deaths marked the city s 23rd and 24th homicide investigations of 2021, seven more than the same point last year.
The violent weekend began Friday when officers responded to the hospital about 2:30 p.m. on a report of a gunshot victim. An adult man had suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound in the 1400 block of east Ann Street, Montgomery police Capt. Saba Coleman said.
Nine hours later, officers were again called to a hospital in reference to a gunshot victim. Police found another man with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Investigators determined the shooting occurred in the area of Carter Hill Road and Decatur Street, Coleman said.
