The first limited edition release of the year has arrived in the whiskey world, and its a fan favorite. Woodford Double Double Oaked is returning to the distillery this Wednesday, January 27th.
The Distillery Series, home to Double Double Oaked, Five Wood, and more, is a place for Master Distiller Chris Morris to experiment with mash bills, blending, and more. While most are one-time-only releases, Double Double Oaked is so popular that the distillery has made it an annual one (they’re bottled at the end of each year and released each January, so this week’s release will say 2020). These rare and limited 375ml releases are only available at the distillery in Woodford County, Kentucky, as well as at select local Kentucky retailers.
