The tightly-knit town of Arklow came to a standstill on Friday morning when crowds of mourners gathered to bid an emotional farewell to beloved local character and inspirational ‘warrior’ Kelly Barnes, who passed away on Wednesday after battling cancer heroically.
Public consultations on the Arklow-Shillelagh Greenway will take place across south Wicklow in early October, with the publication of preferred routes for the project expected in the coming weeks.
