Texas outscored the Cowgirls 19-13 in the final frame to pull away, jumping out to a 9-1 run and not allowing a field goal until midway through the quarter. Taylor Jones poured in 18 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the way with Madison Booker notching a team-high 19 points with five assists and five steals. Booker played all 40 minutes of the game, as did Shaylee Gonzales.
In the newest set of rankings released Monday, the Longhorns climbed one spot to No. 10 following wins over Kansas at home and Oklahoma State on the road. Texas clobbered the Jayhawks 91-56 at Moody Center on Jan. 16 and then went to Stillwater and took out the Cowgirls 77-66 on Jan. 20.
