envoy of the pro-kremlin russian orthodox church as well. for the first time ever, women will be allowed to participate and vote at an upcoming beating of catholic bishops. until now, only bishops who were all male could vote. changes to the meeting approved by pope francis will now include women and young people. joining us is kate, the executive director of the women s ordination conference. a group that advocates for women to be ordained as priests, bishops, and deacons in the catholic church. so women will be included in the synod. how significant is this step? this is a very important step. for the first time women will be able to vote. although we are not at gender parity, there is 10% of women will be in that meeting. it s an extremely important meeting at this synod, the
